Our Process
Site Visit
Your project with Edgemon Building Company will begin with an initial phone call to ask questions and get a better understanding of your project. At this time, an initial site visit will be set up at a convenient time for you so that we can meet in person and continue our conversations about your project goals. We will do an initial assessment of your property in relation to the project you have in mind.
Pre-Construction
After the initial site visit, the pre-construction phase of your project will begin. During this phase, we will develop detailed plans for your project and establish a budget based on the final plans. We will also develop a schedule based on the agreed upon plan and budget.
The need for surveys, perc tests, permits, etc will be determined and acquired as necessary during this phase.
The activities related to pre-construction will be varied based on the scope of your project.
Construction
This is the phase where your vision and our expertise bring your project to life. Regardless of the scope of your project, we will coordinate and execute all phases of the construction process. This will include scheduling and managing all subcontractors, handling procurement of all materials, managing project schedule and budget, and maintaining constant communication with you to provide updates on progress throughout the entire process.
We will communicate with you to answer any questions you have. Also, any changes to scope will be evaluated for cost and/or schedule impact, and approved changes will be incorporated into the project.
Final Walk Through
This is the final phase of the project. This is the time where we walk through your finished product together to ensure all of your expectations have been met, any questions you have are answered, and you are completely satisfied with the finished product. If a punch list is needed, we will address any items on the list and conduct another walk through to ensure any and all issues have been addressed. At the end of this phase, your project is complete.
